The Duncan Walker Partnership is run by a husband and wife team, Duncan & Sharon. As a family run business they are passionate about getting to know their clients well so they can provide the right support.
Based in Leith, they predominantly cover Edinburgh & The Lothians, however they do have clients based in other parts of Scotland and can therefore support clients anywhere in Scotland.
As members of the Institute of Financial Accountants and Sage Gold Partners, they are kept well abreast of regulation and technology changes, which in turn ensures their clients are always ahead of the curve.
Duncan M Walker FFA, FIPA, FCIOBS
Duncan jointed the The Royal Bank of Scotland plc straight from school at 17 and worked for 6 years in various branches / offices including working as a relief staff member. He then moved to the bank Audit Department and spent 7 years in audit while becoming a senior auditor. Staying within the bank he then became a Senior Credit Trainer for 2.5 years before moving to the position of Senior Business Manager Bank Business Lending Unit. Duncan resigned from the bank in 1997 after reaching the level of Operations Control Manager UK Branch Network – graded 14 (potential to reach director level).
In 1998 Duncan started his own Accountancy practice and Business Management Training business from scratch and built it to £150k turnover, 100 clients ranging from £50K to £6.5m turnover. In 2009 they won IFA award of ‘UK Accountancy Practice of The Year’.
Duncan also held the positions of Chief Executive of West Lothian Chamber of Commerce and High Growth Business Advisor – Business Gateway Midlothian.
